My wife and I like to RV camp now that we’re retired. This meal is a great one to keep in the pantry for nights that we want to come in and relax without having to worry about cooking a meal on the stove.
I was surprised by how the tomatoes and fresh herbs gave the meal a rustic flavor that other dried meals don’t seem to have. The salmon chunks rehydrated well and were tender, not chewy like some of the other brands.
The generous portion made it easily shareable for both of us.

As an outdoors enthusiast & someone who has spent their fair share of time in field environments eating MREs, I can confidently say this is hands-down the best freeze-dried meal I’ve ever tried.
This past Thanksgiving I had a 6-hour car ride, which presented a great first opportunity to try this. I was blown away. The salmon rehydrates with genuine texture. It was flaky & tender with no mush or rubbery texture like you’d typically get in these meals. The cream sauce was rich & pairs quite well with the pasta.
It was simple to prepare as well – I just brought a small thermos of hot water with me and poured it right in. Despite losing some temperature over 3-4 hours, it still mixed very well with lower heat.
Highly recommend this product to all outdoors types & those who travel often.
